Still alive!

Ello all!

I'm soooooo incredibly sorry I've been so MIA, but I must say I miss my blogging, so I'm back!

And this is also a nice distraction from my school work. I have two exams tomorrow, a paper due, then on Wednesday I have two lab reports due and a midterm. Hooray!

But I wanted to let you all know that I am alive (barely) and will be returning to the blogging world!

Happy Monday! :-D

I'm alive!!!

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm still alive!

The semester ended crazily, and I take the MCATs at the end of January, so wish me luck!

The Boy and I are doing so wonderfully, I'm still so in love!

I hope everyone is having a fabulous holiday season and I hope to update more soon!

It started snowing here

Happy Monday!

Wow, I say that happy Monday like I was excited about that fact.

Boo hiss on Mondays! Especially those with Human Physiology exams in them.

Ah so where to begin?

Hooooooray election! I am quite possibly the happiest of girls that Obama got elected! I was quite proud to go and do my voting duties. Some fun facts of my voting experience

~On the voting list they had my mum with her maiden name listed, along with me with her maiden name listed as well. Could we have voted twice? That would have been fantastic!

~The old man could not pronounce my name. Now granted my first and middle name are a bit Italian, but none the less, not difficult to pronounce! He struggled the entire way through my name until he got to my last name, which is oh so British because of my dads side of the family. I couldn't believe it. Really?

~They were cell phone Nazis where I was! Oh man, one guys phone rang once before he caught it and an old man who was working there came running from the other side of the room and was like "I heard a cell phone! I heard a cell phone!" I about died. Especially since I had been texting both my mum and the Boy the entire time.

So after I voted I decided to plop myself down in front of the TV to watch news the ENTIRE night. I was not going to miss one minute! So I went over to the Boys with the promise that I could watch whatever I wanted. He's such a great boyfriend! I definitely made him stay up until all of the polls were closed and we could finally see who the winner was going to be.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY OBAMA!!!!

In other news, in a totally unrelated and very personal way....

Warning this gets a tad graphic, but not too bad in my opinion

I had a sex dream with S in it.

I know! I'm a horrible girlfriend! And the sad part was it was so good! We were in the Chemistry building on my campus, and the really weird part is that the Boy was watching us from another building just next to it! And it really was amazing. I know in my dream I had an orgasm, but I'm pretty sure I had one in real life. And I was in bed with the Boy. Horrible I know, smack me now. Has that ever happened to anyone else? I've had plenty of sex dreams in my time, but I'm pretty sure that's the first time I've ever felt the physical effect in real life. Crazy. Thoughts?

And now, speaking of the Boy, he's cutting his mane!

So the Boy and I are complete opposites really, and he's not my typical "type" at all. Mainly because of the obscenely long "mane" of his hair, which is absolutely beautiful hair that any girl in her right mind would kill for, including me. And his 3 eyebrow rings, and the whole tattoo thing (well, not really, because I have one too). But he's not the typical "pretty boy" that I normally go for.

Well he just got offered a new job, and it would be fantastic. It's under contract, salary (at quite the pay raise from what he's at right now), and a great experience. The only downfall is that he'll have to commute an hour to get there, and they said he has to cut his mane.

And so after long deliberations we decided that the sacrifice was worth it. The mane will be going this next weekend. Even though I always joked about cutting it off in the middle of the night while he was sleeping, I'll be sad to see it go.

And in another fun spin of events today, the Boy and the Boy-Formally-Known-As-Boy-With-A-Girlfriend met today! We ran into him while the Boy and I were in one of the buildings on campus. When I introduced them, the Boy was like "Hi, I don't think I've heard about you before" and all I could do was laugh to myself. I couldn't believe it. But now I have the Boy, and the Boy-Formally-Known-As-Boy-With-A-Girlfriend now has a new girlfriend.

We shall call him Boy-With-A-New-Girl-Formally-Known-As-Boy-Formally-Known-As-Boy-With-A-Girlfriend.

Tadaa!

Happy Monday all, it's time for me to start this crazy week and write a lab report!

Vote! Vote! Vote! EEEEEEEEEE!

I <3 voting!

I may be called a "flamming liberal", but I can say happily right now that it doesn't matter who you vote for, as long as you vote! Hooray!

Update to come later!

Hodge podge of a Friday post

So I don't have much time to blog, I have a stats exam calling my name! Ugh, happy Friday haha.

And HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

This week has been crazy (per usual in my life!), but the Boy and I got into a huge fight all day on Wednesday. In a nutshell, he was having a bad day and took EVERYTHING out on me. I couldn't win, and he just treated me like shit.

Needless to say, I'm not one to just sit back and take it, so I let him have it yesterday morning. He said he feels awful and he didn't mean to hurt me and he's so sorry and all that jazz.

So of course I'm still hurt (and still am a little. I'm quite scary and damaged, think Meredith from Grey's, which, ps, how much did I love last nights episode??). But he's been trying to make it up to me ever since.

Last night he surprised me when he got out of work by coming into my work and bringing me coffee from my favorite coffee place, and then he told me that he was going to wait for me to get done with work and then take me out to dinner. So we did, and he kept telling me that all day he was just consumed by thinking about how much he loves me and he never wants to let me go.

(I'm summarizing all this up quite quickly, lots of little bits and pieces that I'm leaving out, sorry!)

And then he called me this morning when I woke up and he said I was getting surprises today. And when I checked my email I had this:

Good morning baby :)

I wanted you to know that you're the best thing to ever happen to me and I couldn't be happier. I love everything about you and about us. I certainly have been blessed to have you come in to my life and I won't be letting you go. The past 5 months have been beyond incredible, and I can hardly wait for the next 5...surely they will be at least twice as good. I don't want to spoil you too much by spilling all the love-beans here, but I did want to have you wake up and start your day with a smile on your face. I love you so much baby, you're the best. Thank you for being my [Jenamie].

<3 [The Boy]

And he said that he just might have more surprises for me today!

Happy Friday everyone, and have a fabulous weekend!

Oh and before I leave, I was given a Bookworm award from bode blog and it goes a little something like this:

So the actual closest book to me, my Human Physiology book:

The different components of the plasma membrane carry out a variety of functions. As a quick preview, the lipid bilayer forms the primary barrier to diffusion, the proteins perform most of the specific membrane functions, and the carbohydrates play an important role in "self-recognition" processes and cell-to-cell interactions.

(If only it were still this easy, that was page 56, we're now up to 473)

Yes I know, I am so cool!

Time to get ready for my exam!

martedì 28 ottobre 2008

Oh. Em. Gee.

Someone please please please buy me this dress.

I have no reason to own it and no where to wear it to, but I have to have it!

I killed Kermit!

AH!

I killed Kermit today! And by Kermit I mean one of my lab frogs. And by one, I mean we killed them all. So sad!

(No need to lecture on animal cruelty or anything here, I am well aware and definitely got a lecture from both the Boy and my mum)

But it was such a pain in my booty! Their hearts are SO small you wouldn't even believe it. It's amazing what that crazy little muscle could do. But it was sad because not one lab group today got a full set of decent data. Which kills me because this is what I'm supposed to base my semester research on! Gah!

Oh hooray for amphibian cardiac function.

In other news, its SOOOOOOOOOOOO cold here! It almost tried snowing earlier. I was all sorts of bundled up.

Oh! I called that girl last night about having her move in to my old apartment and she was so excited. And she was so nice. Hell I'd rather live with her than with my ex-roomie. But she's supposed to email me sometime today and let me know what she decides to do. 5pm and I am still waiting. The ex-roomie is also being picky and wants to hang out with her and go out to lunch and all that good stuff. So keep your fingers crossed! I won't be happy until all the papers are signed.

I'm actually staying caught up in my classes right now, so I have a little bit of time to breathe and I just don't know what to do with myself!

I started a wish list on here last night while I was dreaming of things that I want to buy, so I think I might keep working on that.

Ciao ciao everyone, and happy Tuesday!
