Hodge podge of a Friday post

So I don't have much time to blog, I have a stats exam calling my name! Ugh, happy Friday haha.

And HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

This week has been crazy (per usual in my life!), but the Boy and I got into a huge fight all day on Wednesday. In a nutshell, he was having a bad day and took EVERYTHING out on me. I couldn't win, and he just treated me like shit.

Needless to say, I'm not one to just sit back and take it, so I let him have it yesterday morning. He said he feels awful and he didn't mean to hurt me and he's so sorry and all that jazz.

So of course I'm still hurt (and still am a little. I'm quite scary and damaged, think Meredith from Grey's, which, ps, how much did I love last nights episode??). But he's been trying to make it up to me ever since.

Last night he surprised me when he got out of work by coming into my work and bringing me coffee from my favorite coffee place, and then he told me that he was going to wait for me to get done with work and then take me out to dinner. So we did, and he kept telling me that all day he was just consumed by thinking about how much he loves me and he never wants to let me go.

(I'm summarizing all this up quite quickly, lots of little bits and pieces that I'm leaving out, sorry!)

And then he called me this morning when I woke up and he said I was getting surprises today. And when I checked my email I had this:

Good morning baby :)

I wanted you to know that you're the best thing to ever happen to me and I couldn't be happier. I love everything about you and about us. I certainly have been blessed to have you come in to my life and I won't be letting you go. The past 5 months have been beyond incredible, and I can hardly wait for the next 5...surely they will be at least twice as good. I don't want to spoil you too much by spilling all the love-beans here, but I did want to have you wake up and start your day with a smile on your face. I love you so much baby, you're the best. Thank you for being my [Jenamie].

<3 [The Boy]

And he said that he just might have more surprises for me today!

Happy Friday everyone, and have a fabulous weekend!

Oh and before I leave, I was given a Bookworm award from bode blog and it goes a little something like this:

So the actual closest book to me, my Human Physiology book:

The different components of the plasma membrane carry out a variety of functions. As a quick preview, the lipid bilayer forms the primary barrier to diffusion, the proteins perform most of the specific membrane functions, and the carbohydrates play an important role in "self-recognition" processes and cell-to-cell interactions.

(If only it were still this easy, that was page 56, we're now up to 473)

Yes I know, I am so cool!

Time to get ready for my exam!

Oh. Em. Gee.

Someone please please please buy me this dress.

I have no reason to own it and no where to wear it to, but I have to have it!

I killed Kermit!

AH!

I killed Kermit today! And by Kermit I mean one of my lab frogs. And by one, I mean we killed them all. So sad!

(No need to lecture on animal cruelty or anything here, I am well aware and definitely got a lecture from both the Boy and my mum)

But it was such a pain in my booty! Their hearts are SO small you wouldn't even believe it. It's amazing what that crazy little muscle could do. But it was sad because not one lab group today got a full set of decent data. Which kills me because this is what I'm supposed to base my semester research on! Gah!

Oh hooray for amphibian cardiac function.

In other news, its SOOOOOOOOOOOO cold here! It almost tried snowing earlier. I was all sorts of bundled up.

Oh! I called that girl last night about having her move in to my old apartment and she was so excited. And she was so nice. Hell I'd rather live with her than with my ex-roomie. But she's supposed to email me sometime today and let me know what she decides to do. 5pm and I am still waiting. The ex-roomie is also being picky and wants to hang out with her and go out to lunch and all that good stuff. So keep your fingers crossed! I won't be happy until all the papers are signed.

I'm actually staying caught up in my classes right now, so I have a little bit of time to breathe and I just don't know what to do with myself!

I started a wish list on here last night while I was dreaming of things that I want to buy, so I think I might keep working on that.

Ciao ciao everyone, and happy Tuesday!

My wish list

So since I am so incredibly broke, and have been for quite awhile, I haven't been able to treat myself to little things, like lattes and Cosmo or Vogue. So I've decided to make myself a wishlist on here, and I'll keep adding to it. So one day, when I'm a rich successful doctor I can remember what it's like to be broke, and then buy myself all the things I wanted.

I've never been a fan of legwarmers, but with winter fast approaching and the Boy keeping his place FREEZING, I may need to invest in a pair or 3.
And I'm sorry, how badly do I want some argyle socks?

As some of you may or may not know, I lived in Paris for a year, and absolutely LOVED it. Quite popular at my university over there (the American University of Paris), Longchamp was quite popular, and when the 60th anniversary collection came out I oddly fell in love with this bag
And I am so in love with anything thats patent leather, and well I'm a sucker for Coach

And how fun is this?
And is anyone else not too sure about the new "C" logo Coach has come out with?
And if I had to pick one designer label, it would have to be Burberry. I just love the classic feel of their pattern. And common, a Burberry umbrella?

And how cute is this dress from the Banana? Perfect for my sisters engagement party at the end of the month
And adorable for the summer
And I am quite the fan of this look from JCrew

And I just love this too

(I can't stop! Seriously, I'm narrowing down what I find and like, more to come soon I'm sure!)

I just realized that I have marinara sauce on my sweater

Yep I definitely just looked down and realized that I do in fact have marinara sauce on my sweater. It's been one of those weeks. And go figure my load of laundry is almost done and it's too late to throw this in. Sigh.

In major news, my subleaser/friend of the ex-rooomie backed out. Turns out she doesn't know and can't get a hold of her social security number, and therefore can't keep here job here, and also can't lease the apartment. Seriously?

She is a US citizen, but she's spent the past 7 years or so living in England. But even so, how do you not know your social security number? My mum made me memorize mine when I was in elementary school for goodness sake! Oh I was pissed at the world on Saturday night.

And to top it all off, Saturday was the Boy's and I anniversary. So that was fun. After dinner I got the call from the ex-roomie, so we decided to go buy a huge tub of ice cream and Andes mints to put in it. Yum.

The only light at the end of this tunnel is that before her Brit came along, we had another girl lined up to rent out the apartment that the ex-roomie actually liked and approved of. But it turns out she had a possible job opportunity in another state and wanted to wait and see. So I decided to email her this morning and see if she had any news. So it turns out she will be staying in the area, and is going to talk to her friend who she's currently staying with about moving out. I'm calling her later on tonight so that we can talk and see what we can work out.

Fingers crossed everyone! I just need some sort of light at the end of the tunnel (besides August of 2009 when the lease is through). I cannot keep paying rent to not live someplace. It is killing me.

I'm dreaming via Vogue and the Boy offered to buy me a haircut for our next anniversary since I need/want one so bad.

Sigh. As my mum always said, I'm not poor, I'm broke.

In other news, the Boy this morning when he saw me was "Oh you are so very pink and blonde today. You're just my pink and blonde brown eyed girl". He loves the fact that I'm going to be a "hot doctor". But I wonder if people will take me seriously as a blonde haired, pink loving doctor.

Hello Legally Blonde!

Maybe a little Legally Blonde meets Izzie Stevens. I think so.

Is it time for me to go brunette? I think I will after this whole apartment mess is taken care of, if and when that happens.

I've been so MIA!

Ello blogging world!!!

Wow, I have been so MIA, my apologies!
I am so sleep deprived! Ah! Story of my life.
Let's see if I can sum up the past month in a nutshell...
The plague took me about a week and a half to get over, which was really quite fun.

I realized that I can graduate early! WOOHOO! As of December of 2009 I will be done with my undergrad...FINALLY! I've only been working on it for how long now? Ok, so I'll be done in 4 1/2 years, but even so, that is such a long 4 1/2 years! Med school here I come!

The boy and I are doing wonderfully. Hooray!

I found a subleaser for my apartment. She's actually one of my ex-roomies friends from England. Thank God.

And school is royally kicking my arse. I cried last night I was so stressed. I really should be studying right now, but I've missed you my blogging friends! I pinkie promise not to leave you for that long ever again!

Oh man, if only I could remember all of the juicy gossip from the past month, but there has just been too much to all write down now!

Oh but in the whole, "my sister is getting married" news, I'm the maid of honour! Oh mi goodness!

I also met the Boy's niece today. Turns out we have our genetics class together. That's right, she's my age. Get this, his oldest sister is older than my mum! Eish!

Alright I'm off to study, but I had to check in! I promise that I will update again in the very near future!!
I've missed you all!
